Your European Tour Operator
Via Travel is a tour operator based in Geneva, Switzerland, offering a wide variety of professional travel services ranging from hotel bookings to closely tailored individual private jet operations on the incoming market in Switzerland and France.
Objectives
Via Travel requested a simple, light and functional redesign, which would clearly set them apart from their competition. The website would be translated into three languages (English, French and Russian) so the fonts would need to support the cryllic alphabet/character set. The templates would need to be flexible to allow for future growth. A print stylesheet was required for print versions of the hotel pages.
Features & End Result
- I designed the templates with a grid layout to take full advantage of a larger viewport for their 1024x768 users (majority percentage), which would also collapse and downgrade well to smaller viewports.
- A colourful header was designed to give every page a vibrant style that complimented their branding. The images changed on random page loads, to give the visitor a rich feel for what Switzerland has to offer them in terms of exceptional natural beauty.
- Sharp lines separated content areas, allowing for optimal readability down and across the content pages.
