Objectives
A site design that is minimal, clean, flexible and easy to navigate, given the large and inconsistent volume of information that is typical of news sites.
Features & End Result
- The 3-column grid layout of the homepage, and 2-column grid of the topic pages, is designed to accommodate a maximum browser viewport of 1024x768, while gracefully resizing for smaller viewports. It's flexibility allows for future additions, topic additions/removals, etc.
- Subtle grey boxes, lines and bars are used to separate content areas and guide the user across the page.
- A secure Administration control panel was designed & developed to allow for easy maintenance (adding/editing/removing) of the many topic sources.
