Profile

dress up. leave a false name. be legendary.

This was the fifth redesigned version of coda.coza. Its primary features consisted of a bespoke blogging system, a portfolio, photography (that integrated with my Flickr photos), and 'links' and 'words' sections.

Features

  • I designed a 3-column grid layout that would take full advantage of a larger browser viewport (for 1024x768 users), while still accommodating those with smaller viewports by gracefully downsizing.
  • A large, fixed background image provided the page template with subtle texture, bringing the content to the foreground.
  • Sharp separating lines and varying contrasts of heading and paragraph colours allowed for optimal content flow and readability down and across the page.
  • Images were used sparingly, allowing for the colour scheme to change with minimum effort.
  • A bespoke blogging system featuring visitor comments with anti-spam protection, RSS feeds and a 'weblob' (aka. side notes).
  • I developed a basic CMS to allow for easy content additions and updates.
  • A brief creative rationale for the design can be found here: Rebranded. Redesigned. Redeveloped.
