38one.com

I’d just spent the past half hour writing a post (in that browser, IE) about this site design and it’s colour scheme, the service I provide to myself as my own client, and another site – which happens to crash IE for some reason- that was inspiring the post. I knew this before I revisited for another look, so with … view full post

What’s next, blog dinners?!

I managed to restrain myself from blogging for the past few hours, because I’ve definately evolved from experimental blogger into part-of-daily-schedule blogger. It’s unsettling, I’m fighting the urge to add a “to blog” folder to my Personal Bookmarks Toolbar. What’s next, blog dinners?!

I’m ok with this realisation, provided I maintain a certain level of originality to justify the time spent. … view full post

Blog Mesh

A number of random updates, observations and congratulations.

Firstly, a round of applause for my sister J who completed the Knysna Forest Marathon (21km) on Saturday. Well done sis! If I’m still running regularly this time next year maybe we can do it together – ok, stop laughing already. I designed … view full post

Web trends

I tire of web trends very quickly. Lately it’s the self-indulgent blog sidebar content I’m seeing on… well, just about every blog. “Currently Recommending”, “Currently Reading”, “Currently Listening to”… etc. Do you really listen to only certain albums at a time?

Repetitive and uninspiring

I don’t feel like it. I’m bored.

I keep thinking about the purpose of this site and how it’s morphed over the years from an experimental, badly-coded, DHTML-ridden yet sexy interface (lacking any real content) to the strictly-coded standards-compliant blog portal that it’s become today. Another redesign might inspire me to get back into things but for … view full post

Hosting

Sarah, you just had me laughing out loud reading your latest blog post, I almost lost my breakfast. LYW! I bet that guy had typed out a long reply, but in the end decided it would be best customer-client policy to end off with a simple “Bye”. If WebOnline were … view full post

Photoblogging

I’ve listed digicam.coza at Photoblogs.org – a resource designed to help people find high-quality photoblogs.

A photoblog is a type of blog that is regularly updated with photos. Some photoblogs focus only on photography, while others have photos in addition to other content. All photoblogs, however, consider photos to be an important part of their chronological blogging
