I just found this now... I couldn't agree with more on the logos though I'll honest and say the Sharks was a lesson learned. Even so, from the lil' I know about Rugby that logo makes sense.

Another interesting point about the SABC's "Vuka Sizwe" is that isiZulu it can be read in two ways. One, being what they offered... "Nation Arise!" which I believe is 100% on point. The second is "Arise, we listening" or "Arise so we can listen (to you)". I think, they could have placed in a manner that the SABC is interacting with its audience and hears what they are saying. For me, SWITCH did an amazing job on this and this will always be the best logo to come out of this country.

However, I almost cried when I saw the UJ logo.... I remember I was in back seat of a taxi at Cnr Eloff and Jeppe (JNB CBD). There only reason I didn't cry was because I was in a taxi... in deep Jozi.

Nice selection.

The SABC logo, captures what they do in a simple way. UJ sports department one reminds me of a US baseball team logo, or maybe it's ice hockey..

Quite fond of <a href="http://www.info.gov.za/aboutgovt/symbols/coa/poster.pdf" rel="nofollow">the SA coat of arms</a>.

Nice write-up of these really great logos. I'm especially chuffed to see the Sharks logo mentioned. The SABC logo is especially well done.

Looking forward to the rest.
