Hi Jenna – I checked and your comment wasn’t posted unfortunately. I’m in the process of upgrading this blog soon, so you won’t have to go through the verification process.

The pub crawl will be confined to pubs and bars in the inner CBD area (between Buitenkant and Buitengracht), making walking between them possible. Since it’s not just a pub crawl but also a way to experience the city on foot, while meeting strangers along the way. Also the pubs will preferrably create a circular route, so that you arrive back at your car when you complete the crawl. If not you can call Rikkis or whatever. ;)

I agree. According to Wiki, Cape Town is the third most populous city in South Africa. Because of it’s geography Cape Town is often regarded as one of the most popular South African destinations for tourists. Cape Town’s land area is larger than any other South African cities. This is a perfect reason why Cape Town should hit the number 1 spot in the MONOPOLY Here & Now: The World expedition competition. I will definitely go and vote for my favorite city, Cape Town to help make sure that we hit number 1. I will also tell my friends about. I simply LOVE Cape Town, and wouldn’t want to live in any other city in South Africa.

By the way, your pub expedition sounds like great fun. I thought I’d share some of my favorite pubs in Cape Town (Northern Suburbs) with you: Stones, Starlight Diner, Cock ‘n Tail, Cubana, Kudeta, Bunker 9, Jetlag, Venezia, Vacca Matta and Buckleys!

Here’s another tip for you. If you are interested in competitions why not go and enter the Connecting Cape Town competition at http://www.goodhopefm.co.za/connecting/ where you can win a whopping R10,000.

That should be enough to pay for a few pub crawling expeditions :)

Thanks for the mention. It’s amazing to see the power of our media. Since the first mention, CT has surged up the rankings. I wonder if this has caught on elsewhere in the world and we are just being more successful as spreading the word?
I like the idea of voting for our African brothers in Cairo. I’m off to vote for them now!
