4am mixed bag

This is just too clever, I couldn't resist sharing. (via Advertising/Design Goodness)Also while you're there check out these beautifully illustrated print ads for ISCA, by Cape Town agency FOXP2. "Genetic Brand Engineering", hoo rah.

Elsewhere in the Rephaboliki of SA, someone(s) is designing seriously cool band artwork. And how awesome is The Beams logo (particularly the type). All found via MySpace MusoSpace, might I add.

Can you like to dance to the music? If fluorescent day-glo fun-loving joller-jolling foot-stomping beats are what you are thinking is nice, then THE PRIVATES "international band" are for you.

Classic. More MusoSpaceā„¢ linkage for you.

Up next, this is mildly disturbing and it's happening while I'm writing this so I figure I'll mention it. There's a turtle-shell kitten (well, under a year old I guess) that lives two doors down (tangent: 3 Doors Down... I never even though about their name until now, weird how a name can just be a name sometimes, if that makes any sense?).

She follows me into my flat on occasion, sniffs around for a minute or two and then makes the "I want to go out" meow when she wants to leave again. She also wakes me up each morning with her incessant "I'm hungry" meowing (I never know how to spell that) at my neighbour's flat, two doors down on the other side. They made the mistake of feeding her when she was still cute. Actually come to think of it now, those neighbours moved out a week ago so the new ones must be pretty stumped by this random cat at their door every morning.

Her owners are pathetic, probably why she's always hungry. And now this kitten appears to be pregnant by one of the tom cats on the first floor. Her behaviour has changed, stomach swelled and nipples enlarged. What a kitty slut, and I was jokingly calling her that even before this all happened, for different reasons.

Anyway, to cut a potentially long story short, that's not even the mildly disturbing part. She has been meowing at my door (which is behind a security gate) since I got home this evening, and when I looked over a few minutes ago, the handle was moving up and down.

Picture Jurassic Park raptors. Picture a pregnant kitten hanging on my door in an attempt to get in, meowing like there's no tomorrow. Move over, Spielberg!

Crazy Friday.

Lastly, this came up in a WaCaVaDa conversation over dinner, something I had been thinking about a while ago (since seeing the Six Feet Under finale ending, in fact) but never got around to it. Ja posed & posted something very similar on Thursday. But here's mine:

You've just died and your life is flashing before you. A single song is playing in the background. What is it?

PS – Shopping around today for xmas gifts, I spotted this small booklet, about “Painting Cats”. Took a quick squiz over it, has these tons of pictures of these kitty’s and the painting paw habits. Got me thinking, you think, KittyWhore has a hidden talent? I could purchase some Powder Paints and we let her give it a try. :-) Your apartment could be her canvas. MWhahaha

Lol – *sigh* entrepreneurs.

Okay so there’s some influence from Donnie Darko here but Gary Jules’ “Mad World” is good contender.
