Scotland so far

Our time in Scotland has been good - despite the dreich weather, we've made the most of it and have plenty of pictures to show for our short time in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and our roadtrip around this beautiful nation. Thanks to my aunt Moira for her unmatchable hospitality.

It's especially nice to escape from CSS, RSS, SSL, SSI, and whatever other acronyms consume my daily work routine. Not forgetting all that Web 2.0 crap that's been going around.

I'd usually write more text to accompany the pictures, but we're catching a 7am flight to Northern Ireland's Belfast tomorrow and I'm OOT! So I'll leave you with this:

We either misheard the joke, or the guy at our door wearing a Bleeding Scream Mask (zero points for originality) screwed up the punchline. So for your pleasure, and just before Halloween (or Hallowe'en, if like me you're in Scotland) comes to a close, some quick humour. Thank me later...

Q: What is a sea monster's favourite dish?
A: Fish and ships!

UPDATE [a few seconds later]: written here was something about DST, GMT timezones, a German server and the incorrect date and time of this blog. I have since come to the conclusion that I desperately need sleep. Au revoir.

Hey boet and parentals.
I just checked out the pics and I am green with envy. Looks like you guys are having a great time and are managing to fit in all the sights. Have fun in Belfast… and here is your factoid for the day… one way to test the quality of a pint of Guinness is by examining the size of the rings of foam left inside your glass (the bigger and thicker the better). Remember: if it’s a good pint, order another one. Have fun!
Love pinkie.

Yeah, Acidman mentioned the other day that your site’s hosted at Hetzner in Germany (probably got something to do with the amount of traffic your site generates each month)

Thanks sis, good to remember! Haven’t had any Guinness yet but will tomorrow when we arrive in Dublin – and again if we visit the brewery!

Warren: yeah they moved it for that reason :)
