Robbie Williams Cinecast

After winning tickets to the live Robbie Williams Cinecast last week, Bron and I were chauffeured VIP style last night to the venue in Shepherds Bush where we met up with Andy & Jacky. After a time-passing quiz and a few complimentary drinks later, the show started. It almost felt like being at the real venue in Berlin (the Velodrom, it's amazing), in a weird kind of way. People were singing and dancing below us, and around us in the isles and out of their seats, and taking shitty photos of the cinema screen with their mobiles/cheap digicam, as you do..., etc. We didn't get that much into the vibe, but it was definately an energetic show. He's a genuine entertainer.

Robbie started off his fifth solo album-launching show announcing that he'd broken his arm on the Friday before. His new album is entitled 'Intensive Care'. If that's not a PR stunt, I don't know what is. Genuine entertainer... wellll. Take a look at the intruiging whatsyourfuture.com for more on the shows, album, and (streaming) new single.

On the cards for later this month is a three week-long family trip to Scotland, and Ireland for my first time - the birthplace of my Grandfather, and the land of the Guinness! Side-note: have you ever tried Steak and Guinness Pie? Mmm... pie.

We love GUINNESS® ads. You love GUINNESS® ads. Celebrate the essence of GUINNESS® stout since 1929 through 75 years of beautiful, inventive advertising.

I was reminded by David a few minutes ago of their new TV ad which I caught a glimpse of the other night. If you haven't seen it, watch it here (I can't find a better quality clip). Kinda like Fatboy Slim's equally brilliant 'Right Here, Right Now' music video, although much shorter, more evolutionary, and in reverse - hence the title, "noitulovE". Rocking soundtrack too.

Pheuhh!!!

UPDATE [12/10]: I just read that the ad cost £1 million to make and media spend for TV and cinema totals £15m! Via AdLand: New Guinness spot goes back through time. Hectic.
