I’m melting!
It's so hot (humid) in London today. [view the source of that page - server-side comments, ppl!]. So hot that the water in a glass I've refilled countless times already, evaporates faster than I can drink it. My packet of Malteasers melted into a chocolate/honeycomb hybrid blob before I was halfway through. I'm melting!
Anyway. Thunderbird 1.0.5 is out! I'm hoping that the bugs I've discovered are due to my fiddling around earlier this week with nightly installs - a fresh install should provide some answers. When I hit the download page, the favicon was no longer the Thunderbird icon but a favicon of a little brown bird (sparrow-like) with an unrecognizable greenish background. I could have been hallucinating, but I did take a screenshot. And then unfortunately closed the PSD by mistake before saving it. Oh well... it would have been funny. *canned laughter*
I've linked to them before, but this is just classic! Behold the beauty of the jeanpant...
Pushing the senses: R.E.M. and Feeder in Hyde Park this saturday! Some crappy zoomless Casio photos will follow. Yee-aaa!
UPDATE [18/07]: Photos are flickr'ed!
And that my dear readers, is every tedious bit of minutia filling my uneventful life.

heatwaves in london… south africans generally scoff at the idea, unless ofcourse they have been there. i have. i got sunstroke one day when trying to get all the sights in on foot on a very nice warm day a few years back… that’s wasn’t very cool or pleasant!
crammed tubes in 20 plus degrees is quite nasty. i feel for you and your malteasers
Hey dude, thans for keeping my updated on the Mozilla / FireFox and Thunderbrd stuff. It’s way easier to browse your site, than to type in another address.
Downloading the new version now, hope it’s cool. Pretty pissed off about Thunderbird at the moment. My Thunderbird profile corrupted and lost 240Mbs worth of mail. Have to try figure out how to reciver that sometime.
One thing I did not like about it, the fact that one can’t export their mail to a PST (example) for backup purposes.

Interesting source code comments there by the BBC.
So would love to see those concert photos. I hope that you get smashed and somehow end up backstage photographing and drinking with Stipe and the Feeder guys. :)
