My final post in Western Europe

This is my final post before returning to London this evening. I'm back in Geneva again after a 3hr train from Lucerne, just passing time really. I wasn't able to visit the Giger Museum on route since it's a little out of the way, unfortunately. Another one for that "wanted to see but didn't" or better yet "still to see" list.

I'm spending a week or two (or three ;) with the guys at SW19 until I find somewhere to stay for the next 6 months before returning to CT, or starting another trip, or whatever. Who knows.

Some random observations and questions that have been on my mind this past week, to end off this otherwise boring post:

  1. What's the deal with the majority of men's watches and those three small dials (chronograph)? Do they even work most of the time, or are they just excessiveness to make the watch look more technically complicated and manly? (number 1 reason I didn't find a watch in Switzerland)
  2. Does a group of girls prefer to be called "girls" instead of "guys"?
  3. When we say "come on" as in, "come on, let's fly!", what are we actually saying?
  4. Do you think those responsible for designing the e-tv website prefer Coke, Pepsi or are so bland that they'd abstain from deciding?

Remember to drink your milk, fool!

If you think the E-TV website is bland, check out the latest shuttleworth abortion Go OpenSource which is the site for his software show on SABC 2.

If you think etv’s current website is bad. You should have checked the “chrome” abortion that they wanted and some of the other bad choices that they wanted. I think I have cd from Nick which he was working on layout orignally till he did not get paid by e.tv which looks way better than what they have up now.

Seen http://www.nawty.co.za/ ? The guys who worked on the e.tv site are also responsible for that site. No comment.
