Monopoly Pub Crawl V

My and Ian's first attempt at conquering the Monopoly Pub Crawl, guided by hooter-happy Tim the Tourman. We got a late start - oversleeping until 10:50am after partying until 3am at The Clapham Grand where we celebrated Rhons' 21st in style.

After hanging (and hanging) around at Earl's Court St. for a while before hearing the announcement that the District Line wasn't operating, we finally arrived at The Tottenham at around 12:30 and ordered our first pint for the day while waiting for the rest of the tour to arrive. So we missed out on two pubs (doh!). It was at this point that we were adopted under the name "new boys". Bah. ;)

The next stop was The Elusive Camel, directly opposite Tower Bridge - where we received laybacks, shots and consumed two catch-up pints (downing one). Nice. That was followed by a boat race outdoors.

The kak hit the fan at the fifth pub we visited (Chiquitos), arriving late due to tube confusion. I remember spending about 5 mins max at the next pub (The Marquis of Granby) and then losing everyone after that - found myself running around Strand Str. with Helena like a headless chicken, without a route map, asking anyone and everyone how to get to Trafalgar Square. For two hours. Doh again.. what an abortion.

What of the pub crawl I did manage was wicked, it just seemed to get harder navigating around after each pub/pint I guess. Or who am I kidding, I was wasted. Congrats to those of you who did finish, I tip my monopoly hat to you. So strength for next year (or sooner?) when I'll be back *insane laughter* to try for a second time and to become part of the legend! ROARRr!!
