Another rant
Now that I'm connected to broadband networks, I can listen to streaming internet radio without any hiccups, and today tried out 5fm's live stream. Alas, the ignorant muppets - they block access to non-IE browsers, simply because they embed the stream in the browser instead of providing it as a physical link to their listeners who might have the required player installed (Windows Media Player 7) but use a different web browser.
Anyway, rant over - here's the link if you miss listening to ads all day long: http://5fm.co.za/5fm2001/pages/media/5fm.asx.
I lied, rant has just begun. More poorly designed websites:
- SABC Corporate - inappropriate use of frames, popup windows, and a navigation that only works in Internet Explorer, when it wants to. And what's the deal with the little squares which supposedly skin the site? The site is incredibly slow but I doubt that's the reason it falls apart in any modern web browser.
- Ster-Kinekor - completely unnecessary use of frames, and bad use of drop-down form fields as navigation elements.
Fiddle sticks.

Fiddle Me This, Fiddle Me That, Dude, why worry about the browser issue. It’s way easier just to use Media Player (9). Nice and user friendly. Just like the rest of MS products. Accept IE.
they do play an awful lot of ads on the radio lately hey? that stupid sheep ad (mark gillman voice-over) sucks and make me change to something else!
completely agree with the whole Ster-Kinekor statement … but something ‘fresh’ is in the pipeline *drool*
Have a listen to this 6-9AM C.A.T is the best time.
ta!

Broadband… nice. Now download me some music already!!
Yeah, Ster-Kinekor what a joke. It doesn’t end with their Website either. Majority of SA Websites tend to suck ass – how sad.
