coda.coza has landed!

Yep - In London now, as you might have guessed. Would have written a decent update earlier but was completely zombified: our flight was a mare. Didn't sleep for a minute, there was plenty turbulence which is never fun, my sinuses didn't take well to the air flow, and I ended up flicking through the same movies which were looping almost continously for the entire 12 hour duration of our flight. Added to this, the girl in front of me had lowered her seat so far back that I had even less leg room. Bitch.

All good though. We met up with Ian at Heathrow an hour after landing, and spent the day learning the basics of the underground and walking through London. After checking in at the OVC in Earl's Court, and stripping down of clothing (it was damn hot today) we caught the tube to Covent Garden where we had a few drinks and a bite to eat while watching the most pathetic street acts imagineable. From there we walked to Leicester Square, through Picaddily Circus, popped into the Virgin Megastore, past Hyde Park and a few monuments, Harrods (was asked to carry my backpack, still don't get that) - basically walked until our feet were hurting and then returned home. Took some photos naturally, nothing spectacular - just some "might as well" shots, and a few to nearly complete my 26 Things project.

London is quite like what I imagined, and I'm more excited about being here now than I was before. I'm currently lounging in our hostel dorm room which we're sharing with an Aussie named Daniel. We went out for KFC earlier - tases nothing like home, not sure if I prefer it here though - and then for a few pints at some bars down the road. Plan to wake up decently early to start arranging our lives tomorrow, so gonna turn in now, and will post this update in the morning at the icafe down the road. Later!
