New Springbok emblem
SARFU unveiled it's new logo structure today, designed to bring it in line with new National Colours Regulations introduced by the SASC. The revised brand hierarchy includes a new SARFU identity as well as a revamp of the Springbok logo.
The National Colours Regulations recognise the King Protea as the National Symbol for sport in South Africa and, in rugby's case, the combination of the King Protea and the Springbok.
UPDATE: Marketingweb have posted an article about superstitious fans who believe the Springbok in the logo is leaping in the wrong direction: read Leaping to conclusions

Hi Rory,
I think you’d need their permission for that, and if they’re willing they’d provide it. FYI I haven’t been able to find it myself.
Sport should be about the love for the game, and certainly NOT politics. The Springbok emblem is part of the history of the sport in South Africa. If people want to take it away from us, they might as well start their own team with their own players too. It would be like trying to play ruby with a cricket ball. Really, can we not just build a future, in stead of always needing to break down “The Leagacy of Apartheid” It’s long gone, but so often used as a convenient excuse to hide behind. “Apartheid made me do it” ROFL!
Regarding the springbok logo, very interesting reading. I have a water full colour painting size A6 OF THE 1912/1913 Bok tour England. All team signatures around the border.I have match them up to info on the 1912/1913 tour, and there they are.Our Bokke.LONG LIVE THE SPRINKBOKS.A TRUE ORIGINAL. I,d love to share it with the doubting Charlies of the RUGBY WORLD.
Go Bokke mooi loop n make us P.R.O.U.D>>
My son and 8 other kids have been chosen to represent SA at the 12th PAN Pacific Abacus & Mental Arithmetic competition on the 24th December 2011.
We are a country where maths at school level is bad. SEMAS improves the kids math at school from 48% to 79%.
I kid is our future and I would like to give them this opportunity to show the world that South Africa can walk away with a gold.
We would like to use the Springbok Emblem or the Bokkie Emblem on there SEMAS shits to boost them and also make them feel proud of there country.
