Perez are breaking up

Durban band Perez, who performed their debut gig at the Splashy Fen music festival two years ago, have confirmed their break up. They will be embarking on a final tour next month, appearing at Mercury Live (ex-The Jam) on the 15th of March. From their press statement:

We consider ourselves a rung in the ladder of climbing to real international success, proving to our country and the world that S.A. music is, without a doubt, unique, passionate and of a standard worthy of their recognition!! We cannot be ignored for much longer.

Splashy Fen 2003, the Music Festival in the Drakensberg, takes place from Thursday 24 to Monday 28 April.
