Artist of the Year, from 27 years

Since 1976, when Frampton came alive, you've selected your Artist of the Year in our annual Readers Poll. Now, from twenty-seven years of winners, we're asking you to choose just one.

I was suprised to see 1999's Backstreet Boys with 13% of the vote, but then consider how many of their girly fan sites are directing all their traffic to this poll. But I was probably more suprised to learn that Bruce Springsteen was AOTY for 1978, '80, '82, '84, '85, '86 and 2002. He has 18% of the vote, trailing Michael Jackson with 20% (11558 votes) who IMHO deserves the title. If not him, then of course R.E.M. (1991).
